Your name is (text-colour:#c8cc00)[Gary Patterson]. You are a skilled technician in the robotics department of (text-colour:red)[VolcanX Industries]. For the past few years now, you have been assigned to a maintenance position at a children's entertainment establishment in Victorville, California. Victorville itself isn't a bad place at all, you actually quite like it, but your assigned position isn't all that much to write home about. You feel your skills are being underutilized in this place. (set: $backed to false) =><= [[Continue->Start-2]]One day, right as you're about to clock out, a familiar voice catches your attention. It's your work partner, (text-colour:#00b7b7)[Victor Adams.] You've known him ever since you started working here, but don't know much about him other than that he's an excellent roboticist like yourself. (text-colour:#00b7b7)["Patterson! May I speak with you a moment?"] Typical (text-colour:#00b7b7)[Victor], speaking in the most unnecessarily formal tone at every waking moment. It weirded you out at first, but you eventually got used to it. (text-colour:#c8cc00)["Sure, what's up, Vic?"] (text-colour:#00b7b7)["I have news. BIG news. I don't got time to sit here and listen to that, I gotta get home."] (text-colour:#00b7b7)["I'm being serious, Patterson!
