Who are we?

Studio 7e is an independent game development studio based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

...Okay, that's not entirely true.

Hi! My name is Taylor, Often going by Tboogle or Tbug20 online. I'm the one and only employee here at Studio 7e, because that's actually just a name I made up to slap onto my projects. I'm currently studying game development in college, and in my spare time I like to make my own games on the side. So I guess that makes this my portfolio site? Maybe, maybe not.

I got my start making games and other silly things on Scratch, and later graduated to using its more performant cousin TurboWarp. I'm now working in GameMaker for both school and my latest indie projects, related or unrelated to Studio 7e.

AI Policy

Studio 7e is strictly against the use of generative AI in the creative process. No code, assets, or writing created by Studio 7e will be made by or with the assistance of generative AI models. Any assets sourced from outside Studio 7e will be checked to ensure they do not contain AI-generated content.

However, it is important to note that many incredibly useful pieces of software (such as game engines, image editing software, computer operating systems, etc) created by organizations and individuals other than Studio 7e have used generative AI as a development tool. We do not have control over how those developers create their software, even if we'd prefer that they were developed entirely by human minds. It would be impractical to avoid using these programs entirely, especially considering some developers may not publicly confide their use of said tools, and in some cases there may not be any viable alternative program.

Therefore, we believe that using these programs is not a violation of our stance against the use of AI. To reiterate: Studio 7e will never use AI to generate or assist in the creation of any part of our games. However, some third-party programs we make use of may have been partially developed with generative tools.
